sorting out gmails in native email app

hi apple pros,

got a question. I just set up my google account in the native email app in my iphone x and all the emails including promotional mails, social media notification mails are all dumped inside Inbox.

On the other hand, the gmail app nicely segregates the above automatically. Is there a way to allow the native mail app to function like the gmail app?

Highly recommended to use the Gmail App.

If there's a workaround then you'll have to consistently keep your eyes on it. Because Google/Apple change things frequently and things may break.
