Who Replied?Anyone know if making spectacle in Taiwan is it cheaper than in Sg?
Will be there in Nov so tot of making one if price is cheaper than sg.
Find they have more designs available.

Costwise, Singapore so ex, even if do not make in Taiwan, can go JB and make as well.

Ya.. Sg is very ex. I know alot of people are talking about going in to JB and make but I'm worry about the quality of the lens and will they really give you the type of lens that you are paying for?
Just want to know if anyone done 1 in Taiwan before how the quality like and any reliable shop to go too.

Please specify where you are going then i think easier for ppl to tell you where they had theirs made.
Basically my wife just go random one. Most impt to her is the frame she must have. The lens are very much secondary.
As long as they give you the right prescriptive lens, all should be good to go.

Will be at taichung for first 2 nights but I don't think there is enough time. Will be at taipei and staying at XMD area for the last 5 days so should have enough time to get it done (i hope).
Right prescriptive lens is important but I'm also hoping to do a pc lens with transition therefore not sure if its wise to do there or get frame and do the lens in sg. To be frank, I'm worry about doing lens in JB coz read up in here that so people are questioning the authenticity of the lens.
My current Hoya blue lens with transition cost me $500 when my degree is less than 200 on each side. I feel sg is way too over price but if end of the day the recommendation is to do lens in sg then i guess i jus have to pay more for it.

Quite a distance away. You got good optical shop to recommend over there?

They got 1 branch near XMD and another at Tapei Main Railway station. Thanks
