SSD questions

hey bros n sis, i have a question regarding SSD, im intend to change my laptop HDD to SSD, however i wish to retain every single thing in my HDD. including settings such as i.e background pictures etc all these. basically what i meant is, anyway to change to SSD n copy every single things to it n make it as tho nth has been changed at all. i dont wanna go thru the trouble of formatting n reinstall the OS n copying n changing back the settings.

There is usually some sort of cloning software with the SSD.
But if you want best performance and least problems, you will want to reinstall..

SSD will never have any sound because it doesnt have any moving part. An ssd might get bad sectors after excessive usage through like 500tb(yes i meant terabyte not gigabyte) Normal usage will never make an ssd degrade that much.

i think i use 3 years also won't have 500TB bandwidth

I thought SSD is best of the best. Won't have bad sector and won't die.

one of my hdd died suddenly too. no clicking. just a black screen with one liner error message.

both ssd and hdd are, like all things, infallible. but the benefits of ssd outweigh hdd by miles.

If this helps, here goes:-
Just migrated everything from a 40gb ssd to 240gb ssd. Both are Intel. The Intel data migration utility clones so perfectly without a hitch.
During rebooting, the last step asks for my win7 disc. Just have that CD handy.
Quite easy to do I wd say, good luck
