[Statement from Mod] Impersonations

It has come to my attention that there are people impersonating me (and other moderators) on other discussion forums.

Kindly note that these impersonators are not me, and I only post exclusively on hardwarezone. Please do not contact these accounts (on other domains) for hardwarezone related forum support requests.

Such imitation, does not represent any form of flattery - especially when it is used to parody, bash and spread hate at the expense of one’s good name. Rather, it reflects the persons’ unhealthy obsession, hatred and state of mind. Such behaviours are not normal and I encourage these people (if they are reading) to seek professional help.

As much as I do not condone such behavior meant to tarnish the reputation of others - this is EDMW unfortunately. It's a cesspool made up from some of the lowest rungs of the local Singapore society.

Where 8 in 10 topics are nonsensical, 8 in 10 responses contains falsified information (blown-out of proportion accounts, CSBs, bragging) made by egoistic inept males.

Back in the days when everyone was interacting in these forums in via ADSL 128/256k connections, I had called for the moderators to weed out anyone who posts in EDMS lingo because it was not in proper English per se.

And I learnt my lesson and got shot down very badly. Because the moderators back then were corrupt as well. But that's OK - I learnt to live with it; to roll with it.

Hope you find out who the person is.

in all seriousness, its good that youve pointed this out, but what is it exactly that an edmw mod can offer? are you worried your impersonators are getting paid to unlift bans or is this just an image issue?

The mental imbalance (or "craziness") that you speak of coming from that impersonator is nothing new; in fact like I said, 8 out of 10 here exhibit that kind of imbalance.

A cesspool of mentally imbalanced individuals simply serves as a self-reinforcing cycle, which culminates in the exact kind of behavior that you are seeing from your impersonator.

I believe this place could use a purge or "reset" - where anyone not posting with rational thinking or logical arguments needs to go. The rot must go.

Some in this thread have already proven themselves to be part of this rot.
Those that come after me saying I'm FoS, I'm dumb, I'm low-ses etc etc, are also guilty of contributing to the rot in these forums. They must go too.

The issue with impersonators is that you cannot accurately foresee what they will say or do. Hence the statement made.

What you have highlighted in bold does concern me. Image not so much. My conscience is clear and I have nothing to hide.

The forum has well established processes and you cannot pay to get unbanned. It is a scam. Please make a report membership@hardwarezone.com.sg if you see such “services” being touted by moderator impersonators

I don’t frequent other forums, and I will not advertise other forums here unless affiliated with SPH / Hardwarezone.
