The whole enforcement thing feels something is amiss like what you said. Why suddenly enforce this thing when they don't enforce the tinted windows and tiny license plates
Yes, so many things are not in order and deserves priority attention.

Speeding lorries, vans and trucks kills, yet nothing done strictly to enforce.

I kept saying sg is a bleeding economy. From all d foreigners working in sg.

1. They send alot of their salary back. Esp those who cross border daily. They kept their spendings in sg low also. N doesn't spend much in sg.

2. Holiday season. Foreigners go back home, ppl go overseas holidays. Same for locals. Cny period, alot of places in sg now is like a ghost town.

3. Now with d assault of bizs from Malaysia. Taking advantage of grey areas or those illegals working in sg. No income tax or workers levy earned from them.
And the gov happily allows that.
Soon next will be the reno contractors and electricians.

Reno n electricians alr for decades. Companies in sg employ them. Got work inform them n they'll just drive in with their van of equipment. Same as those Aircon employees.

Gov now close d loophole on entertainers who're performing here without a work permit.

Let's see when they'll take care of tis part.

See if gov will double standard.
Catch ride hailing but let other trades off.

If not next time we'll be totally Gotham city😂

it sounds like this 'trade or industry' has a high barrier to entry, why? whose pockets is being filled?

Sg is famous for hard on corruption (instead it is famous for sai like these which is like 'legalized' under table), end up a lot of money is still taken from business owners without actual progress or growth to show.

on the other hand, greasing palms in MY to let the officials turn the other way, makes the illegal business grow faster.

Just check every single starex, Alphard and vellfire coming into SG with msia car plate. 9/10 confirm illegal services
