(Storage) Which option should I take?

Hi everyone, my two year old Toshiba hard disk crashes (warranty expired) and I am presented with the following options:

(a) Western Digital Blue 500GB 1 yr warranty with Win 7 @ $120
(b) Option (a) with MS Office Original @ 150
(c) Toshiba 1 TB with extra $50
(d) Go to SLS and shop for new DIY PC

My motherboard is already 2 years old. Need to check model etc. CPU at least 4 years old. Basically I use it for email, surfing and store my photos. Hmm.. now I am thinking of the 5th option. Do I really need a PC?

Please post your rig. If you don't know how to get the specs, google and download CPUID / CPU-Z.

your usage no need new PC i believe.

just replace the HDD.

get a large size HDD since you store photos and make sure you have backup setup this time.

Why price quoted so expensive? you can buy them at really cheap price elsewhere.
