anyone backed? based on the raised funds, possible to deliver?
I backed it
Was considering it since it first launched @ US$219

Kickstarter don't have to worry, since it already hit its min threshold you will most likely get it.

Unlike Indiegogo fixed funding, even if the project did not hit the milestone they get to keep the $

Nope not true, I back a project that the creator absconded with the money and kickstarter say nothing they can do.

looks really good but very worried about the reliability.
it's abit like how we buy desktop off the shelves before we go into diy rigs. I mean it's possible to diy a opensource NAS/router but i am still a newbie.

I was looking for a DIY NAS from Taobao, then I saw this Kickstarter...
That's why I backed it since the price point is attractive, I am likely to go for their processor upgrade option too

I'm giving it till sat morning before the 10pm dateline to see if they can have any convincing prototypes or review by an independent party.

My question is what software it is going to run? Just TrueNAS? I will think there is a hypervisor layer to run both the storage OS and the router OS.

Or maybe some proprietary software, which I missed out from the product description.

Makes sense.

Good platform for beginners to learn Promox VE if this project really goes through.

If it does not go through, then just simply purchase the board from Aliexpress/Taobao.
Agree, I am actually learning PFsense thru your tutorial now.
