anyway u guys think El is alive? youtube comments seem to support the idea that Mike's suggestion about El's ending is just his imagination to accept and to cope with her death

remember Mike was still sad on the graduation day and Hopper gave him a heart to heart talk and advised him to take on the 2nd path which he should 'accept' El's death and live a good life moving on.

After Mike shared his version of El being saved by Kali, Max and others asked him where EL went....Mike admitted he dunno but he want to believe in his version. His friends all agreed and said they believe too.


btw the directors have said that there will be spin-off with whole new cast and location with no link to the main group but is still set within the stranger things universe

a very valid point is how EL could use her powers to mind connect to Mike if the psionic suppressors were on.

Kali could have cast an illusion to make it seem she died to Hopper when she did not. But then she would be so far away in the upside down to cast the final illusion.

For Mike's story to work then Kali did not get shot and did not die. She was hiding with the group on the truck all the time. El was with her. But then she would also not be able to cast her illusion with the psionic suppressors on.

So it is likely Mike's emotional coping story.

More likely Mike's mind connection with El scene might also be part of his own imagination.

I thought there were be more deaths.

but El being the only one dying is also not too surprising.

finally the series concluded after 9 years. it has been a good run.

IMHO season 5 is not the best season. season 2 and 3 are the best i find.

They did a good job of developing the characters so we know them all and love them. That was one of the keys in the series.
Of course the mystery around what the upside down was is also another key.
Season 5 could have been better if the kids were still younger. That means the whole series didn't run for such a long time but maybe over just 1-3 years difference.

The reason why the series got less emotionally tugging is because the kids grew up and older. We don't feel as much emotionally when it is older folks getting hurt. But kids....

They clever they put in Holly Wheeler and her schoolmates to have this effect. But the difference is besides Derek the other kids we don't know who they really are personality and character wise. Not distinct. Just bunch of kids.

Yeah some of the signs now on further scrutiny does suggest El is alive and Mike's theory is correct.

Loved the series because of their recreation of the setting back to the 80s.

Had the best childhood times in that era with group of friends doing our adventures like them minus the upside down, monsters and the military.

Enjoyed the show whatever the story line goes and how it ends. Time travelled to those days at every episodes. Great show and best decade as a kid.

Biggest plothole is the army just let all of them go without trials or wat

IMHO season 5 is not the best season. season 2 and 3 are the best i find.

For me it’s season 1 And 4. They never topped season 1. Season 3 was a bit lame with the Russian plot.. so easy to break into a top secret Russian facility…
