Stream CD content to TV

I'll like to stream a CD video from a CD/DVD player on my HDMI-compliant laptop to a Samsung SmartTV.

I have installed Chromecast on the laptop and managed to connect and stream videos to the TV through the browser. However, I want to do likewise for contents in the CD/DVD player. How can I do it?
