I'm a student looking for a Student Plan, somebody kind enough to recommend me. I'm getting freak out on which provider I should choose. I'll be paying alone, I can't be choosing the most expensive ones. I'll try to prevent going above $30+ (Sorry for being cheapskate) :s13:

Usually "cheapskate" people would go for Starhub as their prices are usually the lowest when purchased together with a phone. :s13:

So M1 is the best in terms of pricing, but what about the quality of service and 3G coverage? Which would be the "best" overall telco?

It would have to depend on whr u are staying.. There are ppl with full reception on M1 and hardly any reception on Singtel and vice versa

it also depends on your needs. taking a look at the student plans offered by all three telcos, each has its benefits.

M1 - most affordable price plan. free campus & army camp calls. additional 1GB data.
SingTel - free campus/camp calls. SingTel Wi-Fi. additional 1GB data for Combo 2/3.
StarHub - more data bundle in most plan tiers. free 1GB for 24 months.

imo, singtel one seems good as i can rely on the free wi-fi at certain locations.
