Hi

On the right side is my current build. I intend to upgrade to a new one. My budget around 1.7k. Some of the items i intend to bring over like my ssd, and my hd. Case i also intend to use back. I intend to play mass effect in full hd 1080P only and other games in full HD 1080P. And also school projects.

Just now I went to one of the shop at lvl 5. One of the salesman quote me this build. Is it reasonable?

CPU - i5-7500 -
Motherboard - Asus Strix H270-K - ( cpu and motherboard 595)
Ram 16GB 2400 - 209
Graphic card - Asus 1060 Strix - 539
Power Supply - G650m - 129

OS where to get cheap one? Thanks in advance for all your input.

Your Budget for the graphic card can get a GTX 1070 already. You can get windows from Carousell at a affordable price. You can consider scouting for graphics card from Carousell also.

Wah no idea that shop so jialat.
Yes, you just need to buy new GPU and everything is good to go.

Just Grab the cheapest 1070 eg like this Palit 1070 @ $550 and use your Credit Card discount code to offset more.

Still good yes. Just expect longer loading times. An example would be when I'm playing rainbow six siege. My loading time is like x2 of othsr players as loading the levels is dependant on cpu. Once in game buttery smooth though.

All valid responses above but if you already got 1.7k to blow, then why not go full upgrade? Just saying :)
