Suggestion for upgrading rig

Hi.
i will like to have suggestion as to whether i should upgrade my rig to play the upcoming AAA games

Current set-up
I5-4690 with MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Mobo
Asus GTX780 DirectCU II OC edition
Kingston HyperX Fury 1866 16GB (2x 8GB)
Corsair RM750 Powersupply
Monitor: BenQ 2420Z

will it be worth it if i upgrade my gpu to GTX970 or GTX980?
Anybody able to to recommend a good speaker? (Around $200 - $300)

You dont need a z97 mobo if you not gonna SLI/Crossfire or overclocking your CPU.

And you wont need 16gb worth of rams
