I hear from my friend Tai Yang Bing cant keep too long so it better to buy 1 or 2 day before your return if you are buying back.

Some hotels can help you order and deliver to you on check-out day. I did that at cityinn.

chiate is famous for pineapple cakes. make sure you buy some.

for chiate i think need about 60+sgd in order for them to send to your hotel.
you can also buy pineapple wo egg at 711 at xmd 711

chaite nice, need to buy at the right timing ...
normally would go 9am buy
once hit 10am, normally start to have queue ...
after 7pm, evening time also have long queue ...

same i also whack everything from chia te. i dislike pineapple tarts, but even so find their phoenix tart(egg yolk inside) irresistible. their suncake is above average imo (fresh, "correct" taste), good enough for me. but suncake depends more on personal taste, cos some ppl like it sweeter, flakier, milkier, etc.

If i'm not wrong the price u order from hotel is slightly more expensive...
To cover the delivery fees and hotel earn a bit also, despite the form say no delivery fee

Probably, but I saved the time and effort to go get it.

Online shows Chiate selling NT360 for 12 pcs, while I order via hotel is NT380.

Alternatively you can also buy them at nearby 7-11, though is slightly more exp.

The 7-11 I referring to at Ximending

I came across this Section 2,Ziyou road at Taichung. This stretch of road has plenty of shops selling all kinds of cakes including sun cakes. I tried tasting a few before buying and all equally good. In the end, i bought quite a number of boxes from Baoquan 陈允宝泉 as it fits my taste best.
