Sungei gedong camp driver

I have been posted to sungei gedong camp as a driver after two days of orientation at Jurong camp , may I know what are the living condition like there , got outfield or not , the food there etc I know it's a ulu place , long bus ride and etc so we can skip on that part . Is it also a stay in camp because I heard we can opt for stay out I don't mind the long trip as long as I can sleep in my comfortable bed .

gedong MT line usually drive tonners, they will be plenty of outfields for you to drive out.. but u usually just drive tonner and dun participate in whatever they do. unless u suay ask to camo vehicle

the living conditions is not that good, kinda dusty, not sure about the staying out part since i ord from there more than 4 years ago

The food should be not bad if you are not going to the 42SAR cookhouse which sucks.. the ATI and ABGTC cookhouse are decent.. you will experience diff cookhouse food cos if outfield, the unit will indent for u..

The travel time back home is a killer if by public transport .
If the camp bus still same . Perm staff get to board the bus first . then NSF board later .
if riding small cc bike maybe ok . cause petrol should not be a big issue

if you are lucky, u get stationed at gedong medical centre as ambulance driver, living conditions definitely better as you will be sleeping within the sick bay compound which is air-conditioned, and most of the time just chill in bunk and sleep unless there is emergency case

Outfield is quite norm at least for my time . Most probably will be still same .
