Switch from 970 to 390?

Is this a logical switch? My current build >> is serving me well but the lack of backplate and 4gb on the 970 kind of bothers me. My only concern is the heat of the 390 as I want it to run passive when not gaming.

i had the exact same thinking too! hahaha.. but i doubt it's worth the 'upgrade', most likely a sidegrade.

960 to 390 is logical, but not for 970 to 390

it really depend how you look at it, technically 970 has 4GB vram in all with the secondary slower vram of 512MB calculate in. Just that we all won't want to use that 512 part of the vram.

GTA V use about 2.7 VRAM on 1080p.

Not sure about Witcher 3.

Will Fallout 4 use more than 3.5 of vram? How about next year game. Haha.
