Check in starts early but then after 10pm airport shops are mostly closed.
Unless u have intention to go out for day trips and back taipei pick up luggage to go airport. May seems a viable option.

Got hourly bus from TMS to the airport from midnight, I believe, so you can stay in taipei till midnight then make way to the airport?

*Very important. Point to note: The after-hours bus service to airport is located at the terminal just next to the "day-time" bus service terminal. Don't panick when you reach the "day-time" bus terminal and see all the doors are fully shut. The taxi drivers there will keep telling you there are no more buses to airport and ask you to hop on their cabs.

PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THE TAXI DRIVERS. Just walk to the next terminal where you see people queuing up for tickets.

just wondering is there public buses/train (no taxi) for this routes

taipei-yehliu-ruifang-jiufen-keelung-taipei

i know trip 1,3,4,5 but what abt trip 2? i.e how do i get from yehliu to ruifang?

You can take public bus but it will be a long drive.

Slping nw.... took 4am plus scoot flight later back to sg.

I met those taxi drivers and have to say they are really aggressive. I forgot how much they charge(300 for 2?) but their "taxis" are just private cars which look really shady. They try to scare u into thinking the buses are full as well but there's always the next bus.

From Yehliu to Jiufen u need to take 2 bus which should have a journey of almost 2hrs in total..

A bus to nearby Keelung Station then hop onto another bus for Jiufen..

I am taking the 4am too on 19 Jan back to Singapore. Went to the website but I am abit confused. See so many routes..For the Taoyuan route it's the route 5059 or route 705?

Scott is T1 or T2 ?

705 is for HSR station to Taoyuan and vice versa.
5059, likely is from Taipei Main Station to Taoyuan airport.

Scoot, not scott arrives at T1.

430am ah. Actually alot of things to do till go makan, walk walk climb moutain..midnight.. Go back hotel wash up pack abit den 1am make ur way to bus station and take 120am bus to taoyuan lo.. And sit inside and wait?

since they have so many night market, i think visiting one till midnight shouldn't be an issue. so i guess you don't really have to worry about running short of idea of places to go..haha!
