hello, im planning a 7d6n trip to taiwan for 2 this mid may, what are the must see sights that are accessible in the vicinity of taipei and involves perhaps the train and bus services? thanks

P.S: first time going there and first time planning a trip lol

travel date tentatively: 20 May to 27 May, i believe leaves at 1230am(approx)
hotel will be booked with the flights as a package
LESS shopping, more sight seeing and of course food!

Fly to tapei during Nov, Fri to Mon.
First day flew scoot reach there 6.30pm, so only went to shilin.
Staying at iTrip Inn Hotel.

Second day
XMD to TMS to Ruifang to Jiufen (1.5 hrs or more)
Jiufen to Jinguangshi (15min)
Jinguangshi to Ruifang (30min)
Ruifeng to Shifen (35-50min)
Shifen to TMS (50 - 1 hrs)
* Timing spent on transport

Evening time went to Taipei 101, eslite book store.

Third day
XinBeitou, Dan Shuei
Evening went Wufengpu

Last day
Go buy Chia te, then check out hotel fly scoot at 1530

No need to take hotel package with flight. You taking budget air?? Just book hotel on your own direct..

You can go hotel website like hotels.com or hotelclub or expedia, then you can google their discount voucher number From there can get at least 5 - 25% discount, depending on the country and the sites

some taipei hotels are cheaper to book direct. For example my friend recommended me to book shin shih, their hotel rates put that amt. But email them, they gave a even better rate But now all taipei hotels are like that.

Same goes for hotel in Hsinchu. Direct is so much cheaper.

if u 1st time go taiwan, and with girls i mean, taipei is gd,

but currently winter season, not much clothes to buy so yeap.
more of sightseeing and just go nightmarket liao.

Think march weather cooling can go yangminshan ... coz they say the flower very nice during that period

yeah, correct but worried if winter end early. sometimes end feb, sometimes early mar, sometimes late march.

yeap, make sure take alot photos when u are there.

i screwed up when i was there, never even go, - - stay there 1 year boh see FLOWERS.
