hi all, looking for a 4k 65inch tv for my bedroom.

Looking at a budget brand since its just for bedroom to watch netflix and streaming apps.

Out of this 3 brands and their models, which have the best picture quality, features that able to download apps such as viu.

ahh no one really responded earlier so i just bought the xiaomi 65 inch 4S global version. Cheapest after all the cashback/coupon/discount...about $680+.

It seems to have all the features for netflix and app downloads with HDR+ which is all i need for a bedroom tv.

Already bought a 65 LG CX oled 3 weeks back for my main living room tv. Wanted to delete this thread but unable to

Think prism is gd and cheap

in the end i didnt choose prism because they are stuck with only fixed apps like netflix, amazon prime. Cant download newer apps and have to use a set top box for that.

my bedroom tv is mounted to a wall with no mounted tv console so cant have any android box sitting on anywhere.

We can get TCL here? They are everywhere in USA as the cheap TV to get.

I would choose TCL > Xiaomi > Prism

I would choose TCL > Xiaomi > Prism

Ditto.
I would choose TCL > Xiaomi > Prism

And yes TCL TVs are available in SG (Giant, online).

Do note that the TVs are budget brands. To me, their quality is not on-par with the likes of LG or Samsung. Despite that fact, that they using same panel.

My xiaomi came. Cant test it yet as waiting for my wife to be back from work to help carry and mount in my bedroom. I just put led strips and the mounting rods.

Anyway definitely this xiaomi can't match an OLED or QLED. But for lazy watching on netflix, perfectly fine since its netflix 4k compatible. I will test it out tonight.

Hi guys, I also having a hard time choosing between xiaomi and Tcl. I didn't choose Prism becos it is not an android platform.

I have also read up on Tcl in another thread. What bothers me abt Tcl is low nits and bad upscaling. Which one should I go for? I understand both tvs are in budget range. But if you where me, which would u pick? Xiaomi or Tcl?

Thanks!

Both also budget brand, the xiaomi much cheaper yet does have features that most casual tv users want, which are ability to download apps since its android based..have hdr10+, though cant compare to an OLED but its still decent.

Cant go wrong choosing the cheaper xiaomi but if TCL has a better warranty package, yea u will have to weigh the pros and cons. For me since its a just a spare bedroom tv, I didn't really care and chose just choose the xiaomi. Turns out its decent usage. 4k vids still look presentable and sharp and that's all it matters if my main viewing goal is to watch netflix haha..

I never considered nits an issue. I buy monitor with 400nits... End up set brightness at 10%, and only 40% when watching movies.

Visit TCL vs Xiaomi website to see what apps each of them support. TCL supports HBO, Hulu, Disney etc for example

https://www.tcl.com/us/en/top-tv-apps

Upscaling I also never see as issue coz 1) Your video source is 1080p or 4k anyway, and 2) The technology behind upscaling hasn't changed since 2010.

Talking about monitor. Actually the good monitor colors better than tv.

Maybe is because tv is design to be further distance hence need to be bright hence will lose some natural of colors

Maybe that’s why designer or film maker still use monitor to do editing and not tv during editing 😂

can't watch tv on monitor?

They use special high color fidelity monitors and not your PC type monitor.
