The case of windows 7 thumbnails not showing

Im experiencing windows 7 desktop folder photo thumbnails not showing up but only some. is it the case of windows 7 not genuine or applies to genuine ones too? Is there a solution to it?

Fyi i did tried go to performance options and uncheck show icon only, show thumbnails off
