Currently received EEE offer but as I see in EEE curriculum, it focus on hardware and less software. What I m interested in is combination of software and hardware. Should I switch to CE? btw, why EEE is said to be Ace subject in NTU and is CE very difficult so that A is very hard to get?

There is no easy subject in any course. Sometimes, it is the Bell curve..

agree with this. and regarding EEE is famous in asia... its a fact that EEE covers a wider range of industries as compared to CE/CS which is more specialised.. so im not surprised its in a higher demand than CE/CS..

whoever told u CE is easier to score A seriously needs a reality check :s22: in fact it is not easy at all to score any A's at the university level.

That said, it all boils down to how interested you are in the stuff that u study and how much u are prepared into getting ur A's.

It depends on what software are you talking about? CAD tools? scripting languages? There are opportunities to involve yourself with them throughout your undergrad years. My view may be a lil' bias for someone in eee. However, i believe there are opportunities for software familiarization or learning in all engineering courses. the question is, what software are you referring to that you want to get yourself expose to?

eee courses are theoretical (you can't tell whether they're hardware or software base just from the names of the modules). the lab and project modules will let you be exposed to the software and hardware portions. How good you're going to be in them depends on your interests/talents/hard work thereafter. Best of luck

ATs are everywhere in engineering, even in CE thus it's unavoidable. If you wanna beat them, mug smarter and mug even harder =:p
