Hi, is it possible DIY a PC to play mostly battlefield 4 multiplayer and world of tanks on a very tight budget of $600 for intel CPU+Mobo + Ram ? Will also set aside $100 for 2TB toshiba internal hard disk. Will use back my current keyboard, monitor, mouse and case.

Currently this is what I have :
Intel e5200 dual core processor
Gigabyte p43 ud3h mobo
2Gb DDR2 ram
ATI HD5870 graphics card
Windows 7 OEM
1Tb hard disk
630W Enermax PSU

Can I re-use my Hd5870 graphics card temporarily and still play battlefield 4 with new CPU and mobo ? Or is this expecting too much ? If not i have to reconsider allocating my budget or looking at buying second hand graphics card.

Just a rough estimate, basic mobo + cpu ard $290+, 8gb ram ard $11x. Which leaves u with around $200 and less for gpu. Can only go for r9 270 or 750 nia. Maybe if u can forgo ur 2tb, can go 1-2 tiers higher. If u can find r9 280 at ard $300 or so, den it would b better( someone bought at $299.)

Then that is real bad news for me. My friend told me to get intel 4690k and z97 motherboard. I don't think I can get these for under $300.

Does overclocking give me an extra 20fps in battlefield 4 ? If not then i will not need overclocking at all.

If u meant OC ur cpu den a big fat NO. If you mean OC your gpu, den its a maybr. Depends on how much heat there is and its throttling. If the cooler can dissipate heat well, den there is more room to OC and can gain more fps.

Sorry bro, extra 10fps, maybe. If you OC and lower your graphics quality, then plausible.

Hmm $600 for a native 1600x900 display.

I think it is possible.

ASRock H81M HDS + i5-4460 ~ $299
Crucial 8gb 1600mhz Value RAM ~ $100
Zotac GTX750ti 2gb ~ $207

Should fall in at $607.

But however if you wanna squeeze in a bit more gpu horsepower, you will need to go second hand garage sales.

With $200 set aside you could buy a old 7870 or a r9 270.

i5-4460 + Asrock h81m hds ~ $325
Crucial 8gb ddr3 ~ $100

Reuse the rest and consider a 2nd hand 7870 ~
