I need some advices for a gaming rig after waiting for Haswell..
I hope that it can handle BF3/4 at high settings
I'm setting aside for about 1k as budget.

Things to note, I already have

ODD: LG DVD RW
HDD: WD Black Caviar 1TB and WD Blue 1TB
OS: Windows 8

Please assist with your valuable advices! :D

Are you going to do overclocking?
Any other demanding tasks you will be doing other than gaming?

My recommendation may not be as good as the bros around here.
Trying my hand on this.

CPU & Mobo: i5-4430 & Asrock B85M-Pro4 @ $352
Ram: Kingston 1600mhz value ram 4GB x 2 @ $38 x 2 = $76
GPU: PowerColor 7950 PCS+ @ $398
Case: Sharkoon T28 @ $89
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W @ $89

Total = $1004, using Best Buy's Pricelist as a reference.

I am assuming that you will be playing BF3/BF4 at 1080p, if you are using smaller resolution, can probably go for lower end GPU.

Hmm.. I reused my Lian-Li PC-7 Plus for my Haswell build.
You can try search online how old is that already. :s13::s13:

Though i modded the exhaust area to hold 2x 80mm fans, not big enough for 120mm.

IMO, dun waste the money to go buy a new casing.
Just buy some good fans to replace.

haha! your casing.. should go into the museum!

Bo bian budget ma.. =:p
But it is a good casing made of aluminium, very light. ;)

But it is a old design already.
No USB 3.0 front panel, PSU on top of casing, drives still uses screw to secure.
