Planning to fly ANA to Haneda (Tokyo) and taking a connecting flight to New Chitose (Sapporo).

Understand that I will need to go through and clear immigration upon reaching Haneda (international airport), retrieve my luggage and re-checkin to the domestic airport (which may be a different terminal).

Anyone have a good idea or recent experience on how many hours I should plan for the connecting flight?

For example :
Singapore 22:00 to Tokyo (Haneda) 06:00
Tokyo (Haneda) 08:00 to Sapporo (New Chitose) 09:30

Will a 2 hour gap between connecting flight be enough or do I need more time?

Personally i think 2hrs is possible but a bit tight.

Need to take a mini train to get to another terminal in HND.

the main variable is collect luggage, clear immigration and custom, which varies a lot.

but if ANA sells such connection, it will take care of any potential delays and put you on the next flight for HND-CTS.

Did it twice with JAL and ANA 3 hours and 2 hours respectively.

2 hours is fine if no flight delay.

If it is all in one ticket dont worry, ANA will bump you onto the next available flight if you happen to miss it. Usually they have quite a few flights flying that route on the same day.

The flight from Singapore to Sapporo with a stop over at Tokyo is in one booking but I can select which connecting flight.

Problem is the next connecting flight is a 4 hour gap which I feel may be slightly too long.

So hoping get some feel and estimation.

Can do shopping and have some food at HND airport while waiting.

If u dont care for that, then select the 2hr flight.
As others mentioned, if missed connection, ANA will put u on the 4hr or other flight.

Have been thru a tighter connection via ANA flights.

SIN to NRT - 0055hrs to 0845hrs
NRT to CST - 1005hrs to 1150hrs

If you have no elderly or very young kids then just do the 2hr one.

Given a choice to fly without stress, i will take the 3-4 hr transit time, stretch out , window shop a bit if opened, eat or drink then leisurely walk to board next flight
