Tips on upgrading existing rig

Hi guys, just need a few seconds of your time to share some suggestions on upgrading my existing rig which I have been using for 4+ years...

I mainly use it for gaming and I hope to be able to play some of the AAA titles which I haven't been able to play previously...

My desktop specs are as follows:

AMD Phenom x6 1090T
Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0
2 x 4gb G.Skill Ripjaws 1600mhz
Crucial M4 256GB (OS + Steam drive)
WD 1TB HDD
Nvidia GTX 560
Seasonic 620w PSU

What I am currently considering:
GTX 970
Upgrade to 16gb ram? For assassins creed syndicate

May I know what you think of it?

Perhaps you like to advise your budget before the professionals here can give u any advise on what to change? If u have 3k budget probably we ask u to change the whole thing

firstly tell us your budget....
secondly... I suggest change mobo cpu and gpu... other than that still can be reused...

just change your gtx 560 to an r9 390/290 or gtx 970 good enough liao. if the 1090t bottlenecks the gpu, you can swap it for an fx 8xxx cpu

Hi Sir, I am still a poor student so I was hoping to keep it within a couple of hundred $$$, if one shot hoot everything I will be broke!

So I was thinking of just upgrading part by part, from the most important one first

Oh no! My mobo just changed less than a year ago cos my crosshair formula died on me......

I was hoping I dont have to change from AMD to Intel cos I heard to migrate the HDD would be quite troublesome...

Go to the qoo10 thread and ask.. should be fairly easy to get since people are giving away before it expires tomorrow
