Just a update for my trip.

Total 6 person, 2 old and 2 young, cant really go a lot of places, plus kid got high fever, but lucky I brought along fever med from sg.

Train:
*There no escalator for the train station "Ginza line / Hibiya line" or maybe in general, very tiny and narrow walkway, dun go in during rush hour bad experience (7-9am).
*Took skyliner and transit to Ueno, do take note, dun rush or buy too close the timing for skyliner as they leave on-time, there toilet inside the train station as well inside skyliner.
I bought the local train unlimited pass (JR excluded) for 2 days but tricky train ride, for JR ride i bought single ticket as not traveling alot in that line, so summary if you happen to be able to ride 6 a day is worth it else use Suica card.

Hotel:
I book Best western hotel Foino Tokyo at Akihabara, was surprise that the bed is quite ok, can hold 2 adult and 1 kid under 12(FOC), they have fridge, bath tube, Air purifier, USB charging port and all necessities of an business hotel. it situated between Ginza(400-500m) and Hibiya line(350m) and JR line (750m), lawson is beside and can walk further up to Okachimachi train station which at night there a lot of local japan eateries and bright lighted sign board very beautiful and typical scene in animation or tv drama.

Convenient store:
Lawson I think things are general cheaper, follow by 7-11 then family mart, there also Aeon. I'm surprise there different kind of breads and very tasty, Häagen-Dazs ice-ream is damn cheap in Japan, there different kind of sushi rice, ready eat meal, machine press coffee, sweet japan rice ball etc, those with sweet tooth will love alot. Nissin maggi also taste different from SG, and their dry noodle packaging is alot better- in-built draining system. The retail staff will help you to prepare and provide chopstick.

Food and restaurant:
*There no available rubbish bin around, better to finish food at the store or beside if it street food and return to them. There "food court" inside shopping centre, take note generally you have to clear your own tray and rubbish either back to the store or there a general clearing area, some place they have cleaning towel for you to wipe your table.

Trip:
Day 1- Yokohama (Nissin Cup Noodles Museum, surrounding site seeing, back to Akihabara - Gundam cafe, Bic camera)
Day 2- Mt Fuji, arrange private transport, chureito pagoda, Hakko (a short while), Gotemba Premium Outlets
Day 3- Tsukiji Market in the morning, and afternoon as per recommend by thwysg I book https://planets.teamlab.art/tokyo worth it very nice, took the river taxi to Asakusa (quite a view and save the trouble to taking messy train ride).

Day 4- Ueno Park and Tokyo Imperial Palace, stop short while in Ginza, lastly Tokyo station-character street for shopping (got lost and wasted quite sometime here, the train route really messy)

Day 5- stay hotel, return sg.

Google map help alot and I using changi wifi very good reception in tokyo area but out-of range in Mount Fuji, pretty fast speed and can last >half day. Do bring a power bank.

Welcome back~

Hope you did enjoy yourselves.

You must have felt overwhelmed by the train lines. Perhaps a longer trip mext round and you’ll understand how the routes and passageways are in the stations. Might be good to do research first on the layouts of the train stations that you’ll visit often next time. I’m a little bit lazy so usually I’ll look for the nearest escalator or lift via the station layout (they have those big directories) and walk on flat ground as much as possible. There’s way too many things to do in big cities.

at first i thought ts is a stubborn traveler who ask for the sake of asking. glad u heed everyone's advice and stick to 1 city (+yokohama nearby). if not it will be damn hectic and not truly able to enjoy the places. especially when u have so many people to take care of.

First time? If no, maybe. I’ll choose to stay in one city for first trip and do a few day trips out.

Your choice. If I were ever to return to Kansai again, I’ll probably just stay within there and venture other parts. Kanto is too big an area for just 5D.
