I started playing the Total War genre by playing Total War: Rome 2 many months ago. I scored a Military Victory with Rome but I could not sustain a game with other races. :s13:

After I got tired of Total War: Rome 2, I tried out Total War: Attila and it is quite different the former. The new Horde mode really blew my mind away. I started out as the Visigoths and got wiped out by the Eastern Roman Empire because I remained in the Greek region too long. I should have immigrated to Hispania instead.

The second try allowed me to move to Hispania and settle there. After several turns, I got attacked by the Huns, the Western Roman Empire and the Vandals. In the end, my kingdom became short-lived and was wiped out.

I tried out the Ostrogoths and I captured central + southern Italy with ease. However, I began to face financial issues as most of my trading partners were wiped out by the Huns. In the end, the Huns attacked Italy and razed my kingdom to the ground. The Huns are damn powerful and invincible.

Lastly, I tried out the Suebi and colonized the western part of Hispania easily. For the first time, I was never attacked by the Huns and the Western Roman Empire was so weak that I sacked all of its holdings in Hispania to a point where they were 'liberated' by the Roman Rebels. Then a new faction appeared, Hispania, and I subjugated it with ease.

Later the Western Roman Separatists came to colonize Carthago Nova but they could not move inland due to Hispania and my kingdom blocking them. So they targeted the islands next to Italy instead.

However, I found out that I could make peace with the Huns and that allowed me to be free of any attack in western Hispania. The Huns continued to ravage Europe with no mercy. The Visigoths, the Vandals and some barbarian tribes were wiped out.

Now I fear the Huns might turn against me in the future. And the African factions had finally destroyed the last stronghold of the Western Roman Empire and the latter had been destroyed. :(

I feel like I am been sandwiched in between warring factions. Hispania is still a one-town tributary state which is not powerful enough to become a buffer state. :s13:

The Eastern Roman Empire was reduced to several islands and some African holdings. LOL...

But it still lingered around as the Sassinid Empire continued to pound it from the east. The African separatists also tried to take the Nile area gradually. Italy? It is now a desolate region. :(
