Transaction fee

if i buy 2k shares online, but i got a total of 12 transactions of few hundred shares, that add up to the 2k shares. do i get 12x transaction fee? or just one?

If you buy all in 1 day, it will be combined.

Usual caveat for SCB applies.

SCB case:
If you one shot key in 2k shares and sellers nibble ur block of 2k shares slowly throughout the day, u get charged 1x commission.

If you slowly slowly buy, keying in 100-200 shares each time, then u get charged the n-times (in your example, n = 12) commissions.

Thks. My is the former case, but yr 2nd eg is interesting. I still get charge n=12 even though its within the same day?

Yup, if you are using SCB. Forgot about that as it's a new rule since they changed the min comm thing. SCB is bad in that sense.
