Uguisudani station is only a short 2mins train ride from Ueno station via JR line (both the Keihin-Tohoku line or the Yamanote loop line will go to this station from Ueno) and costs only about 130yen. You can just buy single trip ticket for this short train journey or you can get a SUICA card (kinda like our EZ-link card) to tap in tap out at gantries so you won't need to buy single trip tickets every time you have to take JR trains since the metro pass don't cover JR trains.

Actually, if you are going straight to Uguisudani station from Narita Airport, you don't really need to go to Ueno. You can just alight from the Keisei Skyliner train at Nippori station, and then transfer to JR Yamanote loop line (also 2mins short journey and costs 130yen) at Nippori station to get to Uguisudani station.

So i need to get the suica card at nippori station. So how much does it cost if i like to purchase the prepaid card so that i don't have to buy everytime i use the JR line

the handling fee is for the refund of any leftover amount in the card. there is no charge if u just want to get back the 500yen deposit. so just make sure to use up everything or forfeit the remaining amount if there is not a lot left
