Why pair a high end consumer CPU with a low end graphics card? What is your use?

Used for casual gaming and multitasking.
I don't do content creation though.

Should I go down to a i5 8400 or 8600k or upgrade the gfx?

Ya, the CPU is definitely on the high end if you are just using it for causal gaming.

I have similar build to yours but you need RGB fans and light strip if you want to see your build inside Meshify C as the tempered glass is quite tinted.

I'm using Meshify C with Kraken x52 and Trident Z as well, plus NZXT Aer fans and light strip.

Do you mind sharing your build differences?
The NZXT Aer fans look wicked. But how do you control them? Can't sync with the rest right

You need to connect the fans to Hue+ and control via CAM. CAM is also the software to control kraken.

If you intend to only use Asus Aura Sync, I will suggest CoolerMaster Fans (http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/masterfan-pro-120-ab-rgb/) as they are compatible with most mobo RGB sync (ASUS/MSI/Gigabyte).

Other options like NZXT/Corsair/Phanteks etc requires their own unique controller hub/RGB cables to control the lightning (which cost extra).

The differences for my build is the CPU (R5 1600 with ASUS Prime B350-Plus mobo), PSU and GPU. Ram, casing and AIO (if you are using Kraken X52) are the same.

For Meshify C, take note of the height clearance for your RAM if you intend to mount the AIO on top.

You can take a look at my build, the RAM is very close to the Kraken X52 (mounted on top) in the Meshify C. If you choose other AIO and mount on top, there might be some height clearance issue in Meshify C. The mobo also, i not sure if other mobo heatsink etc will block the AIO on top also.

If you do not overclock, get i5-8400...
If you do Overclock, get i5-8600k.

Use that extra money to upgrade to GTX 1070/1070Ti...

For LED, if you're going with NZXT Kraken x52, go with HUE+ and AER fans too. You can control everything by CAM... Except G.Skill Trident Z RGB, it's by Asus Aura Sync. Sigh, no standardised solution for RGB...

Wow. I actually saw your build in another thread. Just looks great. I think I'll try to move all to NZXT. Thanks for sharing!

NZXT Aer fans are indeed beautiful, the nicest among the RBG in my opinion. Do take note Hue+ require a internal 2.0 USB for connection and most mb comes with 2 and are usually taken up. You may have to purchase a separate internal USB hub.

I'm not good at diy. Hoping PC themes can build for me.
