What we know so far​

  • Two students and two teachers were killed in a mass shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, according to Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey. Nine people were hospitalized, the bureau said.
  • The suspect, a 14-year-old student at Apalachee, was questioned by law enforcement last year regarding “anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting,” according to a joint statement from FBI Atlanta and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. “The subject denied making the threats online,” the agencies said.
  • The high school also received a phone call this morning warning there would be shootings at five schools and that Apalachee would be the first, law enforcement sources in Georgia told CNN.
  • The shooting is at least the 45th school shooting in 2024, according to a CNN analysis.

A serious qns i had wanted to ask about mass shootings.
Since US allows gun possession, how come when these mass shootings happen, no public stand out to gun down the assailant??
Teachers no keep guns in school?

Some schools are "gun free zone".

That also translates to the faculty staff being defenceless against such an attack.

Also, the gun the shooter obtained might be one from the black market. Hence, outlawing the sale of firearms will not stop such occurrences.

It is people who kill people. Not guns that kill people.

Iirc people are not allowed to bring guns to school

That is, law abiding people.

Guai guai follow law but end up being defenceless, because siaolangs and criminals don't abide by these laws
