Difficult to say, you need to stay tune to the local news to know if any transport service is disrupted by to the incoming typhoon.

Hi all,

Going to Japan tonight (landing at Osaka) and saw that a typhoon is going through Japan from today till Sunday.

What should I look out for? Will be in Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima area from 17 to 22 Jul.

Will it be safe to take the ferry to Miyajima ,Naoshima, Shimanami kaido?

keep a look out for news reports.
and if it is not safe, they would have stopped operations for the ferry.

and make sure u have travel insurance, in case there is any flight delays

Saturday should be fine. I am more worried that you are landing in the middle of a typhoon though. ANA and JAL has already cancelled several flights. Friday just stay indoors and avoid the rain.

Yup, my flight got cancelled and will be flying in this afternoon instead. Lucky I bought travel insurance.

No need for wet weather plan now, haha

Yup I would thought so. The typhoon hit Osaka here after midnight and this morning there are still gusts of wind and rain, but nothing really serious.

The typhoon (now a tropical storm) has moved into the Sea of Japan side and it is slowly moving north. It is gradually weakening so by the time it reaches Hokkaido, probably nothing much left of it.
