No mention as to how much the laser battery costs. It'll suffer from the same problem as Iron Beam.

That is to say the inability to simultaneously engage multiple targets.

The Iron Beam's main problem is the extreme cost of each battery, making parallel deployments require a huge amount of capital.

what happens if the drone is plated with reflective materials, ie. mirror-esque armor?

The mirror has imperfections on its surface. It can be sliced through by the laser.

Sooner or later will get there.

Many years ago EV also same problem too expensive battery. Now Tesla number 1 liao.

it just need to cut into the hypersonic missle pcb to render it useless.

How to test whether it can do it when UK itself don't have any hypersonic missiles ?
simple lah...just silently target NK monthly test launch lor... they would known nuts wat actually happen, as launches typically fails.

Israel also tested similar laser weapon system many years ago, but no report of it been used during the gaza rockets attack few months ago.

The laser requires huge amount of electricity and recharge time, hostile side can just overwhelm the laser or iron dome with large number of "cheap" drones, rockets.
