Ultrabook with 15" screen

Looking for an ultrabook (or a laptop which is fairly lightweight) that comes with 15" screen. Budget should be around 1.2k ~ 1.5k. Any models to recommend? Would appreciate if can let me know the price and shops that carry them

Not sure if the Asus UX51/UX52 is at that price range (probably will be i5) but if it is its probably your best bet!

seems like Asus Singapore website not yet updated with UX51.. the most is UX31/UX32

Toshiba Satellite U940

Hey, my friend just bought this Toshiba Satellite U940. He says that the screen is 14" (close enough to 15"?) So yeah, maybe you wanna check it up because last time he told me that it is quite light. Hope this is useful.

Sure not within that price range. UX52 is $2.3k. Honestly 15" notebook then can be within that price range not possible for ASUS Ultrabook at all. ASUS A55 15.6" notebook is $1,099. At least $1,800 for Ultrabook.

Whats your usage?
Gaming? Or just business and light usage like youtube n internet?

Toshiba u940 is also a good choice, lightweight n ultra portable.
Can also consider lenovo u300/400

Otherwise, can try to find 2nd asus pro36. i7 intel and dedicated graphics card.
I think only 1.6kg. My wife using it now for two yrs. Still going very strong

MS says below 20 mm thick and weight below 1.4kg classified as Ultrabook.
Honestly hard to get 15".

wont be surprised to see samsung and acer dish out ultrabooks in 15 & 17 inches, with almost.every feature including a optical drive and still brand it as "ultrabook"

Called a ultrabook but actually not same as classified by MS.

well... MS can say whatever they want. the manufacturers always do otherwise.

last two years there was a rave about ultraportables. initally manufacturers made it slim, light no dvd drives. but eventually, manufacturers still whack 14/15/17 inchers with slim dvd drives, and still kept it around 1 inch thick.
