why worry for yearly subscription fees??
annual fee is first 2 years free and after that it can be easily asked to be waived. You nvr use credit card before?

Just note that most of cashier in singpore dun know how to use unionpay machine, so u will face difficulty when using it in Singapore.

At the cash register, ask the cashier to press the button NETS instead of CREDIT CARD, then insert your card into the NETS card reader. The receipt will be printed, no PIN required, just need to sign.

This card can work in Cold Storage and Giant, and PIN IS required, just input "00000" and the "approval" will show on the NETS terminal.

1. Giant supermarket
2. Sheng Siong
3. Shaw Theatre

All without the need to enter PIN.

Interesting to know that the sales staff at NTUC and Caltex have not learn how to handle this card yet.

I have used in China recently. Just insert into the reader and transaction is approved. No need to key PIN.
