Unlocking the S4

I've just been given an iPhone with work and really don't need my samsung, rather than just leaving it in a draw and it collecting dust i thought i'd sell it. I have a 2 yr singtel contract on it so need to unlock the phone. is this something i can do myself or better to take it to a specialist (i live near simlim) to have it done.

also, once unlocked what roughly should i expect to get for the phone?

You don't have to unlock it. All local phones are unlocked. Just take out the sim card and sell it.
