Upgrade for X79 - E5-2690?

I have a X79 Sabretooth coupled with a i7-3820, 32GB 1866 ram.

It's a 5 years old chipset but I think it still has some mileage to go.

Would it be worth it to get a used E5-2690 from Aliexpress? Should be between $150-200USD. Upside is I get to reuse the ram and the mobo. An equivalent board, CPU and RAM would set me back about 1K SGD at least. The money can go towards a 1080 (Using a r9 290x)

And is buying from Aliexpress 'safe'? Going to be my first purchase if this goes through.

Rig largely used to play games like COD, WOT.

I buy until the cow come home already from Aliexpress now then u ask here? I using the E5-2680 and u must overclock to see any difference. If u dont overclock, might as stay on i7 3820.
