Hi guys,

I need some advise on where to go to upgrade my macbook pro. I need to change by battery and upgrade my ram too.

RAM you can buy anywhere and install yourself if you have the tools.. If not, you can let any PC shop to do it for you. I will go Bizgram because I trust them, but you might have your own preferred partner to do it for you.

I strongly strongly recommend you to change the battery at authorised service centre such as Sapura/ eServe etc. They surely will charge you more expensive for the battery, at least the purchased battery comes with warranty and is assured to be authentic. You can also go to third party shops at SLS or Funan, but the end of the day you will be afraid if they give you the suitable battery....

If you have 8GB ram it should be more than sufficient and if that's the case upgrading to SSD would give substantial performance boost. There is a saying once you're on SSD you will never want to go back to hard disks.

haha totally agree on this. After I've changed, it became a speed demon even when running on bootcamp (Win7).
