If imac is 2011 or earlier, upgrade is easy.
Just a bit of gut and steady hand.
Charging $250 is really easy money man.

256 SSD approx. $200.
micro-sata cable approx. $12 (from Amazon excluding shipping)
Charging $30+ for labour is very reasonable.

It's a different story if cost excludes SSD.

the new slim iMacs are soldered on SSD, can upgrade meh?

Only the new low cost iMac ram is soldered on lei...

The slim iMac are using blade SSD unless you hook up to the SATA3 port for 27" while the 21" already have the SATA3 port ready.

Actually it is not that difficult to upgrade just need to buy the right tools to take out the screen and the rest if easy.

At the rate Apple is going, eventually, nothing will be user upgradable :(
