Dear all,

Would like the most bang for buck upgrade for my current CPU + Mobo:

Intel i5-3470 + Gigabyte B75M-D3V

Other parts which I intend to keep:
GTX 970
Kingston Value 16GB ram
Seasonic M12II Bronze Modular 620W

I would like to keep my budget between SGD 200-300 if possible.

Cheers to all recommendations!

Thanks for the reply all.

I do currently have 2x SSDs + 1TB HDD on my system so I got that covered.

I wouldn't say it's a bottleneck or anything but performance is rather sluggish at times (especially if I'm on a couple of Chrome tabs) and my on-board sound card is giving me static issues through my Swans M10.

So I figured I might as well give the upgrade a go!

P.S: I haven't been keeping track on the hardware world for sometime so do pardon me for my lack of knowledge on the trends/terminology

Back up your stuff, format your com. Get a PCIE sound card.

Most budget solution under 100 bucks.

New cpu and mobo combo of an i5 is around 400 bucks. Not to mention you need to change ram as well. 2x8gb value ram would cost you 170 bucks. Round to 600 just for an upgrade.
