Upgrade ??

Hi Senpai / Expert,

I was think should i mini upgrade to my Com?

I was thinking of upgrading my cpu fan from stock to Cryorig R1 Universal and up my ram from 8 GB to 16GB.

Reason is that i played game that are heavy on CPU ( PUBG / Emulator) and Ram (Emulator)

These are my spec ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Processor : i5-4690 3.5Ghz
Mainboard : Asus H97-PRO GAMER
Graphics Card: ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5
Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY 1600MHZ (2 x 4GB)
Casing: FD Define R5 (Window)

Not really planning to change gpu as right now, my gpu still can handle those games that I am playing

PUBG not very optimized. Plus your CPU cannot overclock. Upgrade the cooler also won't give you much improvements.

If you really want then upgrade your CPU+mobo+ram together. Otherwise, I suggest to stay put with your current system. No point upgrading ram now because if you want to do more CPU intensive stuff 6 months later, your ddr3 not compatible with current gen motherboard already.

Your rig ought to draw similar Fps for PUBG as an i7-4790 and GTX1060

40-50 at native res 3840x1080 144hz
>60fps @ 1920x1080 144hz

High =
40 - 45 @3840x1080 144hz
avg 50-60fps @ 1920x1080 144hz

You should stay with your rig. Upgrade Ram but thats about it.
Dun need to bother about DDR3 becoming obsolete or not. Its still good for what its worth

Most important is whether your hand itchy and can tahan or not. Can tahan = stick with what you've got. Cannot tahan, just get what you want that will make you happy.
