upgrades for gaming system

Hi guys,

I'm planning on upgrading my system for fallout 4.
System will be mainly used for gaming and photo/video editing.


Parts I'll be re-using:

Case: Coolermaster HAF 912
DVD-rom
old 1TB Hdd
PSU: Aurum FSP 600W
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (new from lazada)

Looking at the GTX 970 but not quite sure which brand/model to get..

Upgrade budget will be $1000.

MOBO + CPU - Asus 170z + i5 6600k
GPU - MSI GTX 970 OC 4GB
PSU - Sunflower LEADEX 650w (+80 Silver)
SSD - Samsung Evo 850 250GB
HDD - WD Green 2TB
Cooler - CoolerMaster hyper 212x or Corsair h100i
Chassis - Fractal Design Define S
Monitor - BenQ 27" Full HD LED

Maybe this will give you an idea or two on what you want.

Still usable right? U will not see perceivable differences between ur current i5-2500k and a new skylake processor.

Yes processor is still usable but might have some issues with the mobo. eg: usb ports working intermittently

It won't , even I3 run almost same fps as I5
