hi guys, is there any way that i can upgrade a dell optiplex 980 MT such that it can run modern games on like medium settings or higher on a 1366x768 monitor?
the games im looking at is bf4, boderlands2, fifa14, dota2 (high settings)

here are the specs

Intel Core i5 650 dual core @ 3.20GHz
Clarkdale 32nm Technology
4.00 GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
Dell Inc. 0D441T (CPU)
DELL E1910H (1366x768@60Hz)
Intel(R) HD Graphics
244GB Western Digital WDC WD2500AAJS-75M0A0 (RAID)
305W psu????
MS Windows 7 32-bit SP1

i'm looking for a psu, graphics card upgrade hopefully below $300

problem is that the motherboard and psu connector is different from that of the usual OEM connectors (some micro 24 port connector idk) and i dont know how to connect another psu to it, and i cant replace the motherboard cause its a different one from OEM boards

i also need a way to slot in a discrete graphics card 'cause there is only like 7 inches of space the cpu heatsink is blocking the pcie slot

is there anyone that can help me do these upgrades if it is possible to even upgrade the computer?

thanks alot!!

p.s. the i5-650 has some turbo boost function to 3.4+ how do i enable it?

bf4 i dont think doable with your budget.

PSU also cannot anyhow buy. The OEM PC chassis must check what is your current PSU size and dimension and also must check your current chassis clearance.

Without the exact measurement it is quite hard to determine what kind of PSU you can buy.

Lastly if you want play bf4 you might need at least a r9 270x to a 7950 range to handle high settings. Ultra you will need GTX760 and above cards.

Mid settings most probably a 7850/GTX650ti boost or a 7870 non tahiti/GTX660.

But given your budget the most can settle is mid tier gpu.
