Netanyahu vows expanded offensive against Iran’s leadership
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel would soon carry out wide-ranging strikes on “thousands of targets” associated with Iran’s leadership in Tehran, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
In a video address, he described Saturday’s joint US-Israel attacks on Iran as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to bring down the Iranian government and urged Iranians to capitalise on the “operational momentum” and take to the streets.
Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Effie Defrin said that the military was working to establish the “military and operational conditions” necessary to topple the Iranian regime.
Defence Minister Israel Katz said the campaign would intensify, adding that “Israeli warplanes will operate continuously to carry out powerful strikes in Tehran”.
