USB-C to external HDD

Hi !
I have a laptop with a USB-C port and 2x2.5in external HDD.
Is there a cable I can use to connect my HDD via USB-C ? I thought if I wanted to transfer data between 2 USB3 HDD, it would be faster ?
I guess it's possible but I worried I might buy the wrong cable and damage the port. So what cable I should look for if purchase online ?

So I insert this into the laptop and then connect the exiting USB3 cable into it, right ? Thanks.
