If you have windows 10 pro/enterprise and want faster local network transfer speed, and have unused usb 3 ports, just get a realtek usb 3 gigabit.

Then download the teaming file from here https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software

Diagnostic_v2.0.4.2_AllInOne_20190502_V3.zip

Run the installer with your realtek usb plugged in.

It is successful if you see teaming driver in both your motherboard realtek and usb realtek

Then just run admin powershell
New-NetSwitchTeam -Name "SwitchTeam01" -TeamMembers "Ethernet","Ethernet 2"

Now you have 2 gigabit!

If you have more usb 3 ports, just buy more dongles :s13:

In router router or switch, make sure it is aware to do link agregation

Looks like windows 10 support smb multi-channel. So if you dont have a managed switch which supports link aggregation, file transfer will be spread among the nic without the need to team them

but getting it to work requires certain combination of hardware and not worth the headache

My huawei router dont have enough ports, so I bought this $21 8 port gigabit switch from qoo10, and $10 usb hub with ethernet from shopee.

This combination of hardware also works!
