Hi

I have a few USD prepaid card(gift). Any suggestion how i can transfer to a holding card to be spent (i want to combine to spend as purchase is higher than one card amount) ?

I tried revolut and dash, but both dont accept overseas card

Preferably card that can hold USD instead of transferring to SGD. (eg. grab).

TIA

Without knowing which exact cards and what you can do with them, there is no way to help. Revolut does accept overseas credit cards, just do not accept certain prepaid cards.

The cards are from myprepaidcenter.com (US based). Hope this helps.

Thanks

Seems like you are very limited in SG.

Based on information on this page:
1) Buy Amazon gift cards, then use all on Amazon.
2) Find a US friend with Venmo, load all in, then transfer to bank (may have 3% charge).
Unless you are in the US, Money Order option is out for you. This is how people are doing manufactured spending in US.

Edited: If you're looking at converting to SGD, then you have to check if your card charges for FX. Many US cards do not have FX fees, so the rates are rather competitive, if used for foreign currency spending.

Thanks Fone. Seems like the option is quite limited. Appreciate it.

Having the question as TO..
But I don't do much Amazon shopping, plus my card amount only has USD$100. I am OK to convert to SGD. Just want to check if anyone has any other idea since last year? ;)

I have no problem to use it for online shopping. The thing is, if charge in SGD for online, it is difficult to completely clear $100USD due to the FX conversion.. But I don't usually shop in any US site and have them ship the item over... scratch my head on how to use this..

If you can use it in Singapore (I know some gift cards charge around 2% FX), leave a bit more than $0.50 USD on it, then empty it out completely by topping up your Amazon US balance.

I am able to add the US Visa debit card to Grab. But when I want to top up from it. It keeps saying 'Transaction failed' :(

Probably it is because the card doesn't support 3DS. Now Grab top up requires the card must support 3DS...
