Use educational discount at Apple Store

Hi,

Anyone have experience using educational discount at physical Apple Store?
Is JC student eligible? Thinking to use my son student status to get Mac Mini M2.
Wonder what to be used to show as proof of student status, student pass only show as Secondary/Pre-U Student.

Unidays seems to only accept university students, but Apple Store SG indicate JC students are eligible, a bit confused.
Appreciate if you can share your experiences.

if online ordered with edu plan, do i need to show student pass when collect from delivery or from apple store? Or show the credit card used to purchase will do?

i recently ordered; before they shipped it out they emailed asking to provide proof.

my wife responded to that email from her edu email address with the order details and got a confirmation shortly after.

a long time ago, they used to mention that you will need to provide some sort of ID at the point of delivery, don’t recall hearing about this being done in my own experience / when i asked friends.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the Apple Store use Unidays to verify that you qualify for an educational discount? If so, do you need to provide proof again at the Apple Store? Feels kinda redundant.

So far once i managed to order from education store I do not need to provide any other proof. My guess it they are doing checks for random order.

Education Eligibility​

Those eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals include faculty, staff, students and parents as follows:

• Kindergartens, Primary schools, Secondary schools - Any employee of a public or private kindergartens, Primary or Secondary schools is eligible. In addition, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members are eligible, PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers, staff of Ministry of Education are eligible.
• Universities, Polytechnics, Junior Colleges and Institutes of Technical Education - Faculty and staff of Universities, Polytechnics, Junior Colleges or Institutes of Technical Education in Singapore; and students attending, or accepted into Universities, Polytechnics, Junior Colleges or Institutes of Technical Education in Singapore are eligible to purchase.
• Universities, Polytechnics, Junior Colleges and Institutes of Technical Education - Parents purchasing on behalf of their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a University, Polytechnic, Junior College or Institute of Technical Education in Singapore, are eligible to purchase.

Just curious, if I ask a student to accompany me to make purchase at Apple store, do they check/ask if we are related before giving educational pricing?
