Using iPhone in extreme cold

Planning to travel to Harbin where temps can reach -30 deg C. Will this permanently damage the battery/phone?

Any recommended accessories available to keep it warm?

I went to Harbin before

In my tour group , everyone’s phones and consumer point and shoot cameras froze and couldn’t work.

in such extreme temperatures, only my pro level weather sealed Nikon DSLR could continue to function normally and take photos .

it’s too cold. the phone will just shutdown or battery will drain very fast
