Do turn on over provisioning to ensure that the SSD is always performing at peak performance. You dont have to worry about filling up your ssd after that as it takes away about 10% (optimal) of space so you cant use it.

I would recommend not to turn on RAPID mode, as in the event of a sudden power cut would have disastrous effects, up to the point where your data may be corrupted especially. (might not be that jialat, but the possibility is there)

The ssd is so fast already, dont really need to add unnecessary risk. If you dont know what rapid does, is it store some data on RAM at the same time to improve responsiveness. And as well all know, RAM is wiped clean when there is no electricity.

I see. Noted. Will disable the rapid and turn on over provisioning.

Thanks.

shld i be using iastor or msahci for the ssd?

Your BIOS should set to AHCI mode. By the way, have you install OS on the SSD? If so, you need to make change in registry before you can change in BIOS. Else you can't boot into desktop.

I ended up cloning the data from hdd into the ssd as my win7 only can be used for upgrade and not clean install. Now when i use AS SSD it shows iastor.

iastor is not ahci?

If not wrong my bios was set to ahci mode
