V Gen RAM - Anyone got experience?

as per title, anyone got any experience, or knows of this brand of RAM? V-GEN

Asking because im based in Indonesia, and this brand is popular here..

It's an Indonesian brand. Their Tsunami looks like it uses Samsung B-die which is good.

But personally, I would rather pay for a trusted international brand like G.Skill or Team.

Yes, uses Samsung.. and yeah man, agreed.. better i find trusted brand which works good with Ryzen.. such as Team, Corsair
just..they smart here, the V Gen is priced lower than the marked up prices of international brands..


i got 1 question now-

currently using 1 stick of Team DDR4 2400 8GB ram. Want to upgrade to 16GB.. do i just get another Team 8gb of the same type [ DDR4 2400 ] , price here is like SGD 65

Or

save up for a dual kit 3200 ddr4 2 x 8GB [ price here for the decent brands is like SGD250 ]

if money is not ur concern then upgrade
if u want to get extra bit of fps using ryzen
then sell ur current ddr4 2400 8gb if u can get a seller
that money use to upgrade to 3200

but the differences is not that much
still worth it if u Overclock ur Existing Ram

$250 for 2x8gb 3200mhz is vastly overpriced. Better just buy from newegg and pay for shipping fee, bet still gonna be way cheaper.

If you are indeed using 1600 then yea, the gain isn't much but considering from another point of view which is if you planning to upgrade to ryzen 3000 then getting 3200mhz would make complete sense.

Hi, thanks for reply. From that YouTube video... the differences are small, although only in a few games there is a slight improvement in graphics.

I think I could try to overclock my ram, within safe limits

Also, im using a 1600, dunno how much improvement will there be, if any, over 2400 to 3200

maybe will just save money, get 1 more 8gb stick and in future can consider to upgrade processor

i will check out newegg..

as per your advise..im not exactly planning to upgrade in near future [ current setup is quite good for all my requirements - some gaming, work, surfing, music, films.. i rather maybe get a soundcard for good music ]

and i think i will not really notice the difference between 2400 and 3200 on my current 1600 processor and GPU [ 1060gtx ]

likely will add another 8gb module of the same ram currently using
[Team 2400 8GB ]
